100 Interviews is a Web site about people. 

"I went to see Pharoahe Monch.

Pharoahe is a rapper who has been in the game for at least two decades. He’s known for his complex verses and multi-syllabic rhyme schemes. Pharoahe is not what the kids are getting today.

Like Kerouac, rappers today also want to seem like they don’t write; that they get into the booth, put the headphones on and lyrical gold comes out of their mouths. It’s an illusion meant to make them seem otherworldly."
